We just had our first BIG storm of the season in Silverton! After a late ‘indian summer’, we’ve had a cold and active cycle the past 4 weeks. This most recent storm was enough to close Red Mountain Pass for two days!
This most recent storm dropped almost 2 feet of new snow on our cat skiing terrain! And with 2 more storms on the horizon, the conditions are looking to be prime for our estimated December 29th opening day!

Storm total was around 20″ for us making for great pow turns. We love powder do you? Smiles all around.
We have done well with the recent storms that have tracked through Colorado. Thursday brought 8″ of fresh Pow to SPC with another shot, expected on Sunday.
The storms just keep coming. We have now had back to back to back storms each dumping 2-4 feet of snow. Can you say face shots? Even Uller would consider this to be blower conditions.
The snow is falling and the people are stoked. With the recent storm dumping loads of snow the early season conditions at SPC are the best we have seen in years. Do the right thing and get your seat now because they are going fast. And remember YOU DESERVE IT!!
